This is a PHP package that generates Table of Contents from HTML.

Installation

You can install the package via composer:

composer require l3aro/html-toc

Usage

With Dependency Injection

use l3aro\HtmlToc\HtmlToc;

public function show(HtmlToc $toc) {
    $content = <<<HTML
        <h2>This is heading H2</h2>
        <h3>This is heading H3</h3>
        <h4>This is heading H4</h4>
        <h2>This is heading H2</h2>
    HTML;

    $markup = $toc->from($content);
    $markupContent = $markup->getMarkup();
    $tableOfContent = $markup->getTableOfContent();

    $htmlOut  = "<div class='content'>" . $markupContent . "</div>";
    $htmlOut .= "<div class='toc'>" . $tableOfContent . "</div>";

    return $htmlOut;
 }

With Facade

use l3aro\HtmlToc\Facades\HtmlToc;

public function show() {
    $content = <<<HTML

    HTML;

    $markup = HtmlToc::from($content);
